In the northern region of Abitibi-T\u00e9miscamingue, the Orchid project emerges: a retirement home delicately nestled on the edge of wilderness. Like a blooming flower, it draws beneficial energy from the sun’s rays, warming and enlivening its interior spaces, offering its residents incomparable comfort while reducing their ecological footprint. <\/span><\/p>\n

The owners’ original intention was to leave their vast home to free themselves and draw closer to each other. In this atmosphere of promise, “l’Orchid\u00e9e” transcends its status as a simple house to become a symbol of rebirth, of rediscovering oneself and the wonders of life. Every detail testifies to this intention: fluid, luminous spaces, subtly integrated natural materials, creating a haven of peace where souls can blossom freely. <\/span><\/p>\n

What gives the project a special dimension is the history that intertwines with it. For Mrs. and Mr. Lavoie, self-build is more than just a practical decision; it’s a precious heritage, a tradition where the family joins forces to perpetuate know-how. Mr. Lavoie, a passionate craftsman, joins forces with his son, the project’s creator, to shape every detail, thus passing on a soul to this residence, where craftsmanship blends with contemporary creativity. <\/span><\/p>\n
