The owners’ original intention was to leave their vast home to free themselves and draw closer to each other. In this atmosphere of promise, “l’Orchidée” transcends its status as a simple house to become a symbol of rebirth, of rediscovering oneself and the wonders of life. Every detail testifies to this intention: fluid, luminous spaces, subtly integrated natural materials, creating a haven of peace where souls can blossom freely.

For Mrs. and Mr. Lavoie, self-build is more than just a practical decision; it’s a precious heritage, a tradition where the family joins forces to perpetuate know-how. Mr. Lavoie, a passionate craftsman, joins forces with his son, the project’s creator, to shape every detail, thus passing on a soul to this residence, where craftsmanship blends with contemporary creativity.

The color red, so dear to Mr. Lavoie’s heart, delicately permeates the spaces, recalling his passionate and lively essence. The cherry wood ceiling, a tribute to the craftsmanship practiced by Ms. Lavoie’s father, combined with a wood-burning stove, tenderly evokes warm memories of our customers’ childhoods.
